welcome our new
ambulance
Vision Africa is proud to announce its newest arrival—a fully outfitted ambulance that will serve both the Agnes Onuoha Memorial Hospital and medical missions! The new vehicle (generously donated in full by a VA supporter who chooses to remain anonymous) is a Toyota Land Cruiser 78 Series. It is designed to handle rugged terrain and is armored to protect patients. Inside, it is fully equipped to both transport patients and to treat them in the field as a first response.
The ambulance will have a permanent home in the ambulance bay of AOMH and will be dispatched to pick up emergency patients who cannot reach the hospital on their own. However, it will also be used on dedicated medical missions to remote towns and villages to offer care–including immunizations, eye exams, screenings, and dispensing of medication.
“We are so blessed to receive this gift that will save so many lives,” VA founder and president bishop dr. sunday onuoha said.
“With the opening of our hospital and the arrival of this beautiful ambulance, we will have a means of getting to a patient and a place of healing to bring that patient. And, it will prevent so many needless deaths. We thank God and the wonderful friend He called to make this gift for this new era in our medical outreach.”
At AOMH, the roof is on, and the windows and doors have been installed. Interior construction is proceeding, and Project C.U.R.E. has begun to gather the supplies the hospital will need for its projected opening in the fourth quarter of 2023.
However, both material and shipping costs have skyrocketed in our post-pandemic world, depleting our hospital fund.
Additional resources are urgently needed to continue construction and open our doors to those thousands of patients in desperate need of care. Can you help? If so, please click on the Donate button below and mark your gift for the Agnes Onuoha Memorial Hospital.
